A Message from Year 11 Physics

Year 11 Eastmeadows Girls Campus Physics students performed an experiment regarding radiation.

The transfer of heat from one place to another without the movement of particles is by electromagnetic radiation. Heat transfer from the flame or electric heater to the marshmallow is an example of radiation. When you hold a marshmallow by an open fire, you are using radiation to toast the marshmallow.

Our girls sacrificed their time and conducted the experiment for the sake of science. Some of them wanted to fully understand how radiation works and did it twice. After all, it was a lovely day for girls and they had a lot of fun while learning.
